Kerry cheated!
John Kerry clearly broke the debate rules when he surreptitiously removed something from his jacket pocket and placed it on his lectern.

Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium, table or other structure to be used by the candidate in that debate.

It's hard to tell exactly what it is, but it certainly looks like it could be a cheat-sheet of some kind. Could that be why Kerry seemed to do so well, especially with his word-for-word quotes? If Bush were caught on video doing this, it would be featured on 60 Minutes tonight!
